Data Analyst (Marketing track)

More than one million companies use ManyChat all over the world: from a small bakery in New Jersey to the Department of Education in the Philippines.

Most of ManyChat users don't have a marketing team, but they know how to brew coffee, sew mittens and make chairs. We take on some of their marketing tasks so they have more time to do what they do best. So we should understand our users as well as their customers.

Real marketing
Marketing analytics in ManyChat is not only about measuring marketing campaigns efficiency. It is mainly focused on deeply analyzing our customers and helping them to grow their business with ManyChat. We define and develop key performance metrics for different customer segments, participate in developing the overall ManyChat strategy and technically support the Marketing team in San Francisco with necessary analytical instrumentation.

  • We have 150TB of data, you can work with all of it without any restrictions. We have DWH engineers that take care of the data so our analysts can focus on business results. The data vault is built on Snowflake.
  • Analytics has specific OKRs for each quarter. We don't use our analysts as an interface to the data. Ad hoc tasks are assigned every 3rd sprint, and the rest of the time you can do research: your ideas will be turned into real product improvements.

About the role
We are looking for a person who can extract non-trivial stories and conclusions from raw data: turn raw data into knowledge that is useful for the business. Together with the Marketing team, you will work on:

  • The definition of our ICP (ideal customer profile). Who exactly is our ideal customer? How to reach him/her? What value does he/she get from ManyChat? You will define the key customer segment for the whole ManyChat to reach and work with;
  • The description of the most valuable use cases our customers utilize with ManyChat;
  • Difficulties that our customers face during the registration and onboarding stages;
  • Developing new pricing approaches to adapt our monetization profile to our target customers.
And of course, you are going to conduct tons of analytical research to define, formulate and implement key product and marketing metrics.


What you will do
  • Develop and implement a predictive LTV model;
  • Define, develop and implement marketing health metrics and attribute key conversions to specific acquisition channels;
  • Find development opportunities in the registration flow and grow conversion rate to registration together with the Product team;
  • Find and describe key customer segments, define core use cases within these segments and model the market value of each use case;
  • Launch and analyze acquisition campaigns targeted at key segments together with the Marketing team in San Francisco.
You will use a variety of analytical instruments and approaches to solve each problem and see the exact results of your work "in production".


What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematic, Engeneering or Economics;
  • 2+ year experience in Product Analytics;
  • Good knowledge of SQL;
  • Basic knowledge of Python;
  • Ability to create product hypotheses and to test them;
  • Good knowledge of Mathematical Statistics;
  • Ability to make a dashboard set up event tracking;
  • Advanced English language skills (written and verbal).

What to expect
It includes 4 steps:

  1. Conversation with our Recruiter. We will talk about your interests and will tell you more about the role. The main aim of this step is to see if we are a good match (30 minutes).
  2. Technical interview with our Team Leads. We will talk about your experience, will tell you more about our company and you will solve some analytical tasks (1-1,5 hours).
  3. Final Interview with our Head of Analytics and our recruiter. We will talk more about your interests and analytic approaches (1-1,5 hours).
  4. You accept our offer and ... welcome aboard!
At each stage you can ask questions and get feedback. The process usually takes one or two weeks, but it's worth it.
